I scrolled down on the links they provide and I found one called Secular Judiasm... they claim to keep the jewish customs in practice but without a supernatural diety involved. Well how can they celebrate passover then? Is it like taking christ out of Christmas or i should say the pagan out of christmas. I though Humanism did not involve dieties. So celebrate the deity holidays without the deity
A large part of the Jewish population is rather secular in their beliefs. But Jews are aslo a people. So while it might seem strange to an ex Christian that Jews go on being Jews after they reject a deity, it's probably because they lack as strong a cultural heritage, so they find it hard to relate.

Plus the tradition of the Passover meal is really fun. And if there's anything Jews like, it's a good meal with family.

No. I'm an agnostic/atheist. I also happen to be a Jew.

Look at it this way. There is a kind of bond between Jews and it's that history made us that way, because of 2000 years of diaspora, pogroms and murder. Then there's the anti-semitism that's written right into the bible. That makes for more than a religion. It makes for a people. A culture separate from the religion. Of course there are religious Jews. But I bet if you were to poll religions, at least one of the highest numbers, percentage wise, of those atheists who still identify with a group considered to be a religion would be a those who identify as Jewish. Perhaps the highest, if you don't include Buddhists.

Even now, the NWO myth is considered by some to be a Jewish conspiracy. Anti-semitism is on the rise. And when people come after the Jews, no one ask's if that particular Jew is an atheist. We are, after all, the killers of Christ.

God is the killer of christ. Christ is the killer of Christ. Were you a christian once? When you celebrate passover do you feel as you do the ritual a connection. Possibly a connection to a diety or do you call it culture.

Mmmm, Buttered Matza. Growing up in NYC I'll never forget the class trip to the Matza factory. A day out of class and a free box of Matza on the way home.

Why do you keep asking me if I was ever a Christian? I don't get it but the answer is no.

And I feel no connection to a deity when I celebrate Jewish holidays with my family. Only to a culture. The one I was raised in.

As for who killed Christ, ever see a passion play? Did you happen to see The Passion of Christ when it was out? In the bible, it's the Jews who gave the thumbs down on Christ. That's how the story is written. That story has been a serious pain in the ass for the Jews.

I think FreeThinking is a misnomer for name of the society, To me free thinking is Free..No matter what you believe,, your free to ... think. So if your a Christian or Jew then you are free to think like a Christain or Jew. Free thinking has too many dogm... I mean doctrines. I think the society should change there name.

You mean on the other side of the Northern Jewtown Fence? (Video also here.) Then there's the BBC article. Sasha Baron Cohen is a very naughty boy.

Check this website out www.stiefelfreethoughtfoundation.com

"We envision a world where government favors liberty over dogma and freethinkers are overt, united and influential."

One mans liberty is anothers dogma.

Oh..it's not like I don't agree with some of their declarations.
