Fox News Distorts Climate Science; in Other News, the Pope Is Catholic

Of course, we already new Fox and the Wall Street Journal lie about AGW. But now the Union of Concerned Scientists have actually conducted a study to see how bad they really are. Welp. Can you guess?

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

It appears to me that even a great percentage of those who are concerned and want action are contributors to the problem in more ways than one. They are consumers of fossil fuels and most don't give a second thought toward reducing that fact. Very few people take action to mitigate their CO2 footprint even when it is financially in their best interests. In spite of the government incentives relatively very few have taken advantage of the rebates offered. People are apparently unable to act even when it is in their best financial interests.

For example, with home owners one of the fastest returns on cost is had from installing solar hot water conversions from electric hot water systems. In spite of the numbers the rate at which people choose to convert is pathetic in the US. This week, 12 month CD rates are averaging just 1.41 percent. Retirees are not willing to move the $2/4000 required investment from lower earnings like CD's to higher rates of return they would generate with a solar conversions. Even those not retired are willing to accept placing their retirement cash in investments that will give them less of a return than they could get otherwise. Remember that the rate of return is based on today's cost of energy and not at tomorrows costs which are expected to be higher over the years.

From page 8 of this pdf
,,,most solar thermal systems cost between $2,000 and $4,500.
In addition, you will be earning an annual 6% to 25% tax-free rate-of-return on your investment, depending on how much hot water you use and how much energy you save.,,,replacing an electric water heater with a solar heater can offset the equivalent of 40% to 100% of the carbon dioxide emissions of a modern passenger car.

It's illogical and makes little economic sense and yet it is the case.

There are only two types of religious people, the deceivers and the deceived. SS

As a news agency Fox News Channel has been following a way of creating hoax for its business profits.By publishing some sensational news most of them are not more than falsely attributed so that it could create or generate some attentions for it.This channel has been always in controversies in producing some unrealistically news only through its unnecessary criticisms for sensational news and discoveries .
