Obama Voters Can't Accept the Reality that Romney Voters are that Crazy

Washington, November 12, 2012 (MNN) -- Obama voter Marvin Neate's fundamentalist Christian Tea Party cousin Joe Pallet told Marvin his plans on Wednesday morning.

Because of Obama's election victory, Joe said he was planning to convert his IRAs to gold bullion, buy assault rifles, renounce his Christianity and convert to Satanism, then move to Canada. "I won't stay in a land run by a Black Muslim Communist Nazi Kenyan," Joe told Marvin. "America is dead, and I'm outta here!"

Marvin couldn't believe Joe really meant it. "I mean, Joe must be joking. All that over just an election? No, surely Joe has learned the art of 'Poe'".

But last Friday, cousin Joe was arrested at a border crossing for attempting to smuggle guns, goats and gold into Canada.

Canadian customs officers arresting Joe Pallet.

Joe Pallet's ill-made plans came to nothing but trouble, yet all over America Tea Party members, Religious Rightists and rank-and-file Republicans are concocting far-out plans which they think will help them cope with the second term of an African-American, vaguely liberal president.

Obama supporters like Marvin Neates just can't accept the reality that their friends, family, and neighbors really do mean the crazy things they are saying. According to politicopsychologist George Lipton of Hirsute College, people like Neates are suffering from a combination of post joyful surprise disorder (PJSD) and ultra-rational projection (URP).

"Such people are incapable of accepting the fact that a significant minority of their fellow citizens have simply gone off their mental rails," Professor Lipton told a press conference. "Since most Democrats and liberals didn't run off to Cuba when George Bush was elected to his second term, they don't think anyone would take such a radical action. Maybe nobody who is rational would, but if a coworker tells you he's going to blow away a dozen Democrats, you are dangerously deluded if you wait to see his shotgun before you take his mania seriously. You should seek professional help if you find yourself laughing at such threats."

Professor Lipton.

Lipton continued: "Though most of the sore losers in the 2012 presidential election probably do at least intend to carry out their threats, some of them will reconsider when they collide with the reality that they are just as deluded about the consequences of their plans as they were about the issues in the 2012 electoral campaign.

"For understanding those sore losers who eventually back off from their threats," Lipton said, "I've made a simple chart to show how their threats may morph in the face of reality."

Considering that many posts on Façebook are pets with human clothing, that's not much of an endorsement.

But yes, I did share this on Façadebook and emailed my non-Façadebook friends.

Sort of like saying, "Your car would look real fine in a junkyard"? But thanks, Mab, I know, that as usual, you mean well.
