So Louisiana children in Christian schools learn about creationism? I am not surprised.

It is mildly annoying that these schools get any form of sponsorship from their state, but it's not as bad as this buzzfeed article suggests.

Currently, 377 nonpublic schools have state approval, which gives their diplomas the same weight as the state's, makes them eligible for school textbook money, and lets students ride on public school buses and get state-paid college scholarships through the Taylor Opportunity Program for Students.
Please don't misunderstand me, this looks like a misappropriation of government funds, but the original impression was that some public schools used this textbook.

Reminds me of this Onion article.

"We are all connected; to each other biologically, to the earth chemically, to the rest of the universe atomically."

"So you're made of detritus [from exploded stars]. Get over it. Or better yet, celebrate it. After all, what nobler thought can one cherish than that the universe lives within us all?"
