It's that time again. That time again after 1990 to ask that avatars on SFN be allowed to be a little bigger.

I know it requires a great effort to change a number from 64 to say 256 or more, but I'm with you. I'll be there. I can help. Ask me.

Do you know ASP and CSS? 'Cause what we really need to do is detect a visitor's screen resolution and platform and then resize everything based on those factors. Desktop vs. mobile, portrait vs. landscape, etc.. Then some A/B testing to further optimize the SFN experience.

Of course, if we're going to go that far, we should really jump into the 21st century and redo the whole site in HTML5.

I program ASP with SQL queries, and use basic CSS at work and home. I have been using some HTML5 features like autofocus and a few of the new input types, but I'm not up to the task of a major overhaul. I sent you a private message of a live working API as an example of what I do.

Yeah, the site needs an overhaul, and doing it incrementally (like resizing the avatars one day, then optimizing for mobile the next) just isn't going to work.

What ever happened to the overhaul it was getting?

I know that was a while ago...

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
