Hey, folks!
The SFN Gift Shop now has a new product line: Intelligent Design Shirts and Bags.
Feel free to suggest more catchphrases here.
I'd also like to open the position of "SFN Art Director" to any/all prospective artists who'd like to get paid what the rest of us staff members make. Submit sample work (for example, a 2006 SFN shirt) to me via email, and we'll consider you for the position.

What sort of format are you looking for? jpegs? Illustrator or Photoshop files? PDFs? Does it matter?
Ah, I'll probably never get around to coming up with anything anyway, just askin' in case the inspiration strikes for a single submission.

Understood. I doubt I have the time to take up something like that even part time.
Just out of curiosity, how many product designs would you expect from the Art Director per month, say?

Um... One? Maybe?
And now that our call for "resumés" has been here for over a month, I can say that I'm unsure of whether the lack of response has been due to screw-ups with my email address or not. If someone has submitted something, and I didn't reply, it's not because I was ignoring you. My email address in my profile has "issues" (but the one in my signature works fine).

Personally, for a sample of your mad artwork skillz (whoever 'you' may be), what I'd really like to see is a "Post of the Month" graphic, much like our "Thread of the Month" graphic, the Golden Jackalope. My own idea for the POTM graphic "award" is a smoking keyboard, but I've tried and lack the skills to pull it off nicely. |
