But they got Behe to write the bio/blurb.... seriously.

Talk about an insult.

That is so funny! I hope Richard Dawkins will pen a reply. And maybe someday, a good atheist will write Behe's epitaph on his gravestone. Turn-about's fair play.

From checking a few others it seems Time has decided Behe was another renowned name in the same or related field. I didn't see any others that had the biggest critic writing the piece. I think Time is giving Behe waaaaay more credit in his field than the scientific community would give him.

Or, more likely, its a dig at Dawkins.

The whole CNN/Time position on atheism is pretty clear.

Although Dobbs had Hitchens on tonight, talking about his new book, and it appears that Lou may be an atheist too. He was giving the book, God Is Not Great, a rave review.

I sent this to the editor of TIME:

Hello!

Regarding the article "The TIME 100" on Richard Dawkins:

The TIME 100: Richard Dawkins

Selecting Michael Behe for writing bio/blurb on Richard Dawkins is to give way more credit to Michael Behe than he's due. Behe is a clown who carries no weight at all in the scientific community.

By choosing Behe to comment on Dawkins is almost like choosing some unknown spawn of Lucifer to comment on Jesus.

Intelligent Design (that Behe is a figure-head of) has no scientific accomplishments or merits what-so-ever, and the only reason it is known at all, is all thanks to a massive PR-campaign sponsored by religious organizations.
