For those that are into such things, you may want to have a look at:
Interace lift
They have, amongst other things, a significant collection of beautiful images for desktop use, available in a range of resolutions to suit a variety of aspect ratios and formats. Everything from video iPod/psp sizes out to 2560 x 1600.
You can search by resolution, category, popularity, number of comments etc etc. There's a pretty good mix of photography, artwork and the continuum in between.
I stumbled across this one at random
and it reminded of the 3D printed artwork Marf posted a link to a while back, which prompted me to post this here.
