On the surface everything looks nice and family-friendly, until you think about the details: So many children, the axe, and the mysterious paper bag.

It turns out we were not the first to be at least mildly alarmed by this album art. Try this Google search and see for yourselves. There are some hilarious speculations there. Me, I'm trying to find the music.

I found this. It's the design for the plaques that were attached to the Swedish solar lander probes, Lutfisk 1 & 2.

Dave, it would be small loss. Ye gods, the mind boggles!

Holds? Who helves an axe in such a half-assed manner? I'd not like to be near anyone swinging it, and certainly would not try to cut anything with it myself!

This makes me glad that I pretty much ignore the modern music scene because it shows me what I've missed. This bunch is so cute I just can't stand it!

Think this site popped up here a few years ago.
Still one of my favorite tacky album covers...

I understand and will not feel bad for it. I think that the low odds are due to the fact that the potential offended parties would be too embarassed to own up to the covers and the savory music contained within!

Brother Dave must be a proud resident of a tobacco-growing state. That ciggie adds a nice implied touch of sleaze. All he needs is visible smoke and a shot glass of whiskey in the other hand, to make the image complete.

Do whatever you need to protect this site. That goes for any of my stuff, too. I don't really expect problems with this stuff, though, mainly because so many sites are devoted to "Worst Album Covers."

Brother Dave was a highly popular commedian in the '50s, and one of my favorite entertainers. The man was hilarius. He took something of a hit when he got busted for smoking pot, but it didn't slow him down much.
