US State Department Awards New Security Contract

BAGHDAD, IRAQ (MICN) -- War robotics is in its crude infancy. Recently a robot gun being tested in South Africa went berserk and killed 9 soldiers, injuring another 11. At best, robotic fighting machines will indiscriminately return fire in the general direction of any incoming fire.

Oerlikon Crowd Controller.

These robotic systems, crude as they are, can cost tens of millions of dollars.

All this, of course, proves that robots are much more intelligent, safer, cheaper, and more reliable than the Blackwater mercenaries who have been guarding State Department employees in the past.

With this in mind, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has announced the rewarding of three multi-million dollar contracts to manufacturers of war robots which will be used as bodyguards for State Department employees in Iraq.

Slam Dunk!

I was hoping for a good spin on the berserk gun, and here it came. And I'm not disappointed!

LOL!

I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.
