From an offshoot of the Rapture Ready site:

Actually that IS oppression. Oppression consists of demons trying to induce a victim into engaging in an extreme evil (including suicide). Or piling on the temptations until the person breaks.

Which is why they need to rely on Christ every second of the day.....

Here's a question: Why in hell did "god" or "christ" or "whoever" not just imprison all the "fallen angels" into hell right off the bat? They're going there eventually and there's no chance of any of them repenting, so why not just chuck them all into hell in the first place? Then when humanity, whom god is supposed to care so much about was placed on earth, none of this shit would be happening. Any sins or problems that people have would be strictly of their own doing. No "oppression", no "possession", and no being supernaturally tricked into believing the wrong things through "signs and wonders" (as these people believe will happen in the Tribulation).

In biblical mythology, the devil is supposed to have possessed the serpent which tricked Eve into first eating the fruit. Perhaps man's original "fall" wouldn't have happened if the devil wasn't there to start things off.

It's like dropping your kid off in a park that you know has criminals in it and then being amazed that they've had such a bad influence on him.

It doesn't sound like humanity could rely much on god in the first place. Why now?

If the bible said that this was some sort of screening process then at least it would make sense. Problem was, they want their god to be perfect, so they can't say that. The bible was partially written to explain why sh*t happens.

For us non-believers, the answer is simple. Sh*t happens.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

From the same thread:

I dont post on any board unless I feel I truly know of what I am speaking of. I know homosexuality, I know demonic bondage.... etc.

You seem to be talking down to some people on this here thread. This is my opinion. WHich means, I could be way off-base.

But, I had to speak my mind, too.

This person knows demonic bondage? Wow.

Tell me again how religion helps and comforts people?

Religion helps & comforts only priests; the rest it enslaves.

If you're into bondage, the demonic type is really the spiciest variety, so long as it's safe, sane and consensual.

But can you really trust a demon? Sure, it [i]sounded[i] like consent, but aaaaaarrrrrrrrgheeeeeeeeeeoooooow is kind of subjective.
