I wonder what he smokes, and would he share it....

Fantastic work, mooner! You are getting better and better!

You ought to go to work for the Republican National Committee. You could make their pathetic pack of pufftoads look like Superheros slaying all the imaginary dragons of the Bible and saving civilization for Sonservatism - they'd eat it up down in Alabama and up here in Idaho. All of the fuckers are of a comic-book mentality already!

bng, that is an insult to comic books!

Thanks, folks!

I'm with Dude on the matter of comics. Not only do I like 'em myself, but I've found that many entertainments I do not personally enjoy, such as pro wrestling and NASCAR, are enjoyed by perfectly intelligent people capable of walking without the aid of their knuckles, though knuckle-walkers like 'em, too.

Half's art got mentioned in the Oklahoma Evolution List Serve (specifically the Oklahoma Evolution News item of Jan 8, 2008), which unfortunately requires sign-up for viewing the archives. But here's the relevant bit:
Sunscribers will remember all of the negatives that Willaim Dembski received at his OU lecture. Wide coverage in the science blogosphere detailed the smack down he received during the question and answer discussion following the lecture — the criticisms of Dembski continues in various forms. For example, see the 'comic book' item on SkepticFriends that addresses his plagiarism of the Harvard film used in his talk at OU.
(My bolding. And in the original, the words 'comic book' are a link back to this thread.)

Congrats, 'Mooner! Another potential batch of fans for you.

My profound apologies to those who practice and those who appreciate current comic art. A great deal of it is art indeed, not only in the renderings, but also in the messages and social commentary delivered in caption and balloon! My Pavlovian use of the term "comic book" is archaic, going back to the days of Mutt and Jeff! I was being a reflexive old toad! It's getting to be a little harder not to be every year that rolls by! (This is 2008, isn't it?)

Mr. Fish (Dwayne Booth) is a perfect example of comic art. Seen here
before but worth repeating. Some of his pencil renderings are breathtaking! Look at the expression on Cheney's face! I collect Fish's stuff!
