No weirder than the Catholic belief in transmutation, despite the fact that the host and wine still in every way resemble just that, not body and blood.

Yeah I think the only thing that gets transmuted is the their common sense.

This still pales in comparisions to those morons in Florida who are/were Christians yet they managed to latch on to a prophet who claims to be the Anti-Christ(in a good way?) and now they're all getting 666 tattoo's! It's a good case study anyway.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini

Religion by it's very nature must be beyond reason and defy logic. After decades of observing our own fundies and their cultish offspring, and reading of many others past & present, there is nothng ascribed to beliefs in the supernatural that can suprise me any more. Cute kid, though...

Ritual cannibalism rendered uncreepy by deep life-long indoctrination. I've lived it but I don't get it.

Ha ha! THanks Val. What a silly mistake for me to make, especially after 12 years of Catholic school!
