With the Bethlehem siege attracting on-going news coverage, the media repeatedly refers to Bethlehem as the birth place of Jesus. Not only is the 'birth of Jesus' a tenuous assumption, but there is every reason to believe that the gMatt reference to Bethlehem is based on a misunderstanding of OT prophesy. This is but one of many examples of the presumption of Christianity in our society.

I assume that my letters to CNN and MSNBC will go unanswered ...

You'll probably get an answer. It'll be the same form letter I get when I rant at networks/politicians/whoever I'm pissed at this week.
