Now my questions. Why such obvious frauds? If what you are trying to do is get people to understand the TRUTH then why resort to fraud? What is to be gained by that? The people who made these things know they are fakes, what do they hope to gain?

Well, I'm not a bible scholar, but I think maybe it might be ok to lie for God. Gotta get more converts into the pews any way you can. Gotta deny the evidence for Evolution and anything else that might contradict dogma, no matter how strong it might be, any way you can.

It seems insane to me, too.

I've read where the Inca stones depicting dinosaurs were something of a cottage industry aimed at lightening tourist wallets

In a post earlier in this thread I mentioned that James Randi had written about this in one of his books.

As far as the ancient Mesopotamian cylinder, I gotta admit it didn't occur to me that that was a fake. I guess I should have considered that possibility since I already knew the Inca stones were a fraud even before I saw Kacey's source. I guess I'm just not skeptical enough yet.

But I'm rapidly getting there, thanks to people like Kacey (whoever the hell he/she/it really is).

I asked some folks at another forum if they could identify this person. General concensus is that its this guy:

Did you notice he started posting all his crap within hours of the announcement on this page?

There was no sign of age and the art style was all wrong. This piece showed the animals muscles. Nobody, not even the great Charles Knight, did that until the late '60's. The piece seemed to be worked with a Dermal Moto-tool. The first place I checked was Dinotopia but it was a little older than that.

But you have to admit the chickens and the bison butt are priceless.

You'll have to thank "Mocker Wall" over at JREF.
I'd say lock or delete these threads. No one is telling this guy anything he hasn't already heard ad infinitum. So he clings to fantasies. His problem, not ours.
