I wrote a blurb about polonium halos at my website and I'm looking for feedback. Please view it at http://www.drdinosnuts.ca/Was%20the%20earth%20ever%20molten.htm

Looks good.

At the creation/evolution area of SFN you can find this about "The Polonium 218 Controversy" at:

wow, just becasue I wanted to read who you were criticizing, I went to "Dr. Dino's" web page and started reading through his faq.

You are right, this man has some issues.

This is one fot he first I looked at, becasue I think black holes are interesting.

"The problem black holes are supposed to fix is this: if the big bang theory were true, the matter should be evenly distributed in space. Since matter is not evenly distributed in space (we have clumps of matter called galaxies then zillions of miles of nothing between) the believers in the big bang theory are trying to explain why. They are trying to say: "There is matter in between the clumps but we can't see it because it is in black holes." Actually, they are arguing from a lack of evidence not from evidence. This is a poor position to be in when trying to prove your case in a court of law." [Dr. Dino http://www.drdino.com/cse.asp?pg=faq ]

I don't understand how he could say there is lack of evidence. I would think the fact that he is sitting in his chair and not hovering above it would be enough. But hey, gravity is a law right? Laws are made to be broken.

Some people just need to grow up...Hovind hasn't even done that. His claims are largely unsubstantiated, and he is like a kid who, hearing something that he doesn't want to hear, closes his ears and screams until the offender goes away.

Here's a site that talks about polonium halos, as well as some new stuff. It seems that it only takes a few HUNDRED years for Jupiter-like planets to form?

Anyway, here it is: http://www.omegaletter.com/articles.asp?ArticleID=414

Guess what, I originally found the link to this article here:

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Here's a site that gives the real deal on "Dr." Dino. The guy is an embarrassment even to other creationists. Even AiG took a shot at him not too long ago.

http://www.geocities.com/kenthovind/

I, for one, would be a little sad if Hovind were to leave the scene. His amusment value is irreplacable. But, due to some legal hassles (taxes, building without permits and being a right, little snot about it) it's concievable that he could be taking a vacation or be fined onto the poor farm.
