What is to be made of the Epistles in general and the references to the Jerusalem groups in particular?

For the philosophical naturalist, the rejection of supernaturalism is a case of "death by a thousand cuts." -- Barbara Forrest, Ph.D.

No, at least there is nothing supproting this idea. Except for Luke.

But that was a long time ago in a far away galaxy. And Darth Vader was his father.

DA: Since your post doesn't give a lot of info either way this cite might generate some debate:(http://www.qq58.dial.pipex.com/stch/bibstudy/acts-indx.htm)

To deny logic you must use it.To deny Jesus Existed you must throw away all your knowledge of the ancient world. To deny ID
you must refute all analogical reasoning. So the question is why deny?

I was born and raised a Catholic. I spent 8 years in a very good (education-wise) Catholic School. Yet I abondoned the Catholic Church---and NOT for atheism nor for any other religious belief.

This type of action (--for example: a couple of times I almost abandoned the Army, but didn't and am now contentedly retired after 28 years service --) are of major impact on your life. I many times looked into exactly which 'thing' was "one bridge too far".

And, in a moment of nearly-indecent (psychological) exposure, I am going to tell exactly what action seems to be the one that caused me to leave the Church.

In an excerise of utter futility and ridiculous irrelevance, the scholars of the Catholic Church concluded after much investigation of available evidence (--and, of course, most importantly, lack of evidence--) that the highly revered Saint Christopher never existed. He was dutifully expunged from the rolls. A huge percentage of Catholics were taken aback by the action. I left the Church: It was truly the final knock-out blow.

Ah, yes. "Scholastic Excellence": The end of all ends.

Do thou amend thy face, and I'll amend my life. --Falstaff

Since you're not an atheist, and did not take up any other religion, you are still a Catholic, but have abandoned the Catholic Church?

Who is denying? I don't deny that he existed, I ask who cares? I ask what evidence is there that he exists? If he did exist, why should it matter? Walk on water, then come talk to me.
