I didn't know whether to post this in Politics or Religion, bat lately the politics section has copped a fair hammering, so here it is....
Plans Under Way for Christianizing the Enemy

I'm sure the Iraqi people will be stoked to have some some of that love given to them that's not in the form of a Tomahawk missile or coalition bullet.
Reverse the situation and imagine someone tried to sell Islam to an American after the 9/11 attack....i think a resounding "Get Fucked" would be given.
It is obvious that religion is one of the factors in this war, we are already trying to shove Western ideals down their throat, do we have to try to convert them as well?

You notice the title of the article? I thought the "enemy" was Hussein's regime, not Muslims or Iraqis in general.
The aide would be good but what havoc would the fundies stir up with pushing their version of big space daddy? |

I caught that this morning. It's gonna go over like a fart in church.  I fear we might lose some of our would-be missionaries -- many Muslims take a dim view of this sort of thing, especally if the afore-mentioned missionaries come in on the heels of an invading army.
What the hell are Franklin and the rest of these nitwits thinking? If thinking at all.

Yeah f, but I suspect the xian leadership is more concerned about increasing their influence in the world than the lives of a few expendable missionaries. Besides, more martyrs might mean garnering more sympathy, which itself might translate into more conversions. |

Then, they'd be killing each other for God, instead of us killing them, and them us, for the desires of a few self-serving politicians, and wannabe dictators. I just did a quick review of the Rapture Ready. They have a thread on this same subject, if anyone is interested.

I have two questions. First, if they are so rapture ready, why are they so worried about a few terrorists, and about whether Saddam is still in Iraq when it happens? And, why do the peace loving Christians always seem to be the biggest supporters of killing people, (with the possible exception of unborn people)?
Them folks actually were making fun of war protesters, and Arabs in other threads. Now, is that a Christian thing to do?
And, they seem to love Fox news. I wonder if they like the immodestly dressed girls on Fox sports, too. I mean, that weather girl could ressurect a few dead Christian soldiers!

This will make an interesting foot note to the 'war', no more than that. These dingbats will convert few, if any, muslims to the Jew on a Stick faith. There's a good chance that some of them will get killed trying. Then, all of the faithful can bore the rest of us to distraction, whining about how Christianity is so persecuted.
