the glass is just an illusion in this dream within a dream, or is it just another case of moral relativism so dear the materialistic skeptic. if i knew more about post-modernism, i could probably say something even more insipid or do i mean inspired?

unless the glass is in the process of being filled, it must be in the process of becoming empty. whether through consumption or evaporation, it is headed in the direction of being empty, and since the liquid fills half of the glass, then it has another half glass to empty. Reference the items as pertaining to the task, the glass is half empty. The glass is only half full when filling it. (but even then, could it not be considered 1/4 empty, as the first half of the emptying task is to fill it?)

The glass is completely full. Half of the volume contains a liquid of your choice, plus or minus ice. The other half contains air, or, depending on your brand of beer, foam.

If it is beer in the glass, it is most definately half empty, and a refill would be in order.
