I guess it can't be parody because any parody would be indistinguishable from the real thing. Those quizzes makes me sick btw. The problem these morons must face is of course that they try to promote religion by bashing science. They do this by saying science is religion and their religion is true science because it's... eh... religion, and therefor better than science since science is just religion. The sad thing is they can't see how wrong they are. And they seem to actually have the nerve of accusing others of the fallacy of predetermined bias, the very thing they make themselves guilty of. There is a section where we can ask Dr Creation about stuff. I will see if I can come up with some good questions.

http://www.drcreation.org/rationalthinkers.htm:

"Noah? Did you catch that? Noah, the one with the Ark. Now you're faced with the worldwide flood. Did it happen? Is there any evidence? Science has completely discounted the flood. Yet, there are real human witnesses to the flood ( never mind all the physical and fossilized evidence ). Noah and his family came off the ark and they all had children. They shared their real experiences with them. Then, with Moses came written records of the eyewitness accounts that had been passed down."

BHAHAHAHA. I really love this part: "( never mind all the physical and fossilized evidence )" HAHAHAHAH, spoken like a true creationist.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Eh, more of the same, ol' tripe. A little better written than a lot of it, though.

I do not think I will ask Dr. Creationinanity any questions, even though I can come up with some beauties. There's no way I want these doofus' to have my e addy.

But if ya wanna try it, the first question would be to provide a precise definition of 'kind'. I have yet to have a fundie deliver the goods in any satisfactory way on that one.

Then invite him here to discuss it.

I have asked why creation scientists do not publish for peer review...

I have submitted a few questions, mostly based on what the website says, and one asking for an explaination why after scientists through similarities in animals (as well as fossil record and some other methods) made a lineage that was almost completely backed up by the newly discovered DNA.

Hehe... Let's study some questions from the quiz:

quote:
1. How old is the Earth ?

a. 10-15 billion years b. 300 million years c. 1 million d. 10,000 years
Right answer: None of the above.
quote:
3. A big explosion created all the Planets and Stars. True False
Right answer: False, which they probably believe too, but for the wrong reasons.
quote:
3. How many amino acids are in a single molecule?

a. almost 1 hundred b. Hundreds c. Thousands d. Millions
I wonder what they mean with this question... An amino acid is one single molecule, or could be part of a larger molecule. This weird question makes me wonder how much science they know in the first place.

Interestingly enough, in the third power-point presentation they do attempt to define the biblical "kind", as in the "kinds" of animals that hitched a ride with the Ark. They ask about the dinos in the quiz, but forgot to mention them in the rest of links provided in "Class 3".

I think they mean atoms. I'm not surprised that they don't know the difference.

And I bet they meant "protein" instead of "molecule." It leads into the whole "tremendous odds against assembling a protein at random" straw-man argument used so often.

I asked about the term "kind", the many problems and factual errors about the story about Noah and his ark, and also requested evidence that supports the idea that the universe is 10,000 years and created by the god of the Bible. Hopefully I will get some real answers although I can't expect it.

---------------------
Edit:
I did recieve replies on all three questions, but it was mostly the standard answers we always seem to get from creationists. It's all there: "The canopy of water", "evolution is based on faith just as creation", "there is no way to determine the age of the earth because it's not observable", "god is bigger than scientists", etc etc. I never did get an answer on whether God drowned all the fish though, and even if I asked them not to referr to the Bible regarding creationism/evolution, they of course couldn't help themselves.
