The Pruple Panther once told me that he had gotten a "Food Forum" started to discuss the increasingly important subject (-- IMO, rapidly approaching "critical subject" --) of food: its quality; its price; its purity; its nutritional value; its genetic degradation in the name of profitability; etc.

I have something to post but can't find such a forum. Did he lie? He usually doesn't.

I lately have only been getting into the library once a month or so, and I am reluctant to let my thought slide for that long. Perhaps I will try to find a different forum, such as Conspiracies.

Anyway: What's up with a "Food Forum", if anything?

The old thread in which this was discussed can be found here. The upshot is that we decided to expand the subject matter of the Health Folder to include food-related issues.

Hmmmm. Well, thanks.

The topic I was going to (and did) introduce wouldn't have fit in either the old Medicine Forum or the new Health Forum. It would have fit into Prup's "Food Forum" but Conspiracies!! worked.

I think that there might be value in the "Food Forum" though. How does one attack the touted concept that the reason prices for food-in-general are skyrocketing (--- we are being "preped", if you have been listening to the network propagandists, for widespread food price hikes ---) (as in: "We are 'preping' you for an emasculation operation [or historectomy: "DOTS"] under the guise of an operation to remove an ingrown toenail.") is:
  • "Dirty, rotten OPEC is pumping up the price of gasoline and diesel fuel which will raise the price of everything transported."
My best guess was Conspiracies!!! but a forum devoted to all aspect of "food" might have been better.

(While I don't disagree with this statement, the true "passed on" cost to a gallon of milk due to increased fuel costs is maybe a penny or two;---not the $2 - $4 price rise that "they" are discussing!)

(Presumabely this generalized price hike is so as to allign our food prices with those in Europe: Ye olde World Economy in action.)

Should I also post this in the other thread you cited? Or would that be against the rules?

(P.S. "DOTS" is militarese for "depends on the situation".)

Go ahead and post it in the other thread, and I'll go ahead and close this one, as the real question in your OP has been asked and answered.
