opposition candidate lost narrowly, by less than three percent of the vote,
but now a large segment of the electorate is crying foul...
"Indeed, a University of Pennsylvania researcher, studying those exit poll
results, has concluded that the consistent shift from Kerry to Bush from
exit poll prediction to official tally result is a statistical
impossibility, leaving fraud as the only explanation."

“I was an official poll worker judge in precinct Columbus 25 F, at the East Linden School. We had between 1100 and 1200 people on the voter registry there. We had three voting machines. We did the math. I am sure lots of other people did too. With the five-minute limit, 13 hours the polls were open, three machines, that is 468 voters, that is less than half of the people we had on the registry. We stayed open three hours past 7:30 and got about 550 people through, but we had one Board of Elections worker come in the morning. We asked if he could bring more machines. He is said more machines had been delivered, but they didn't have any more. We had another Board of Elections official come later in the day, and he said that in Upper Arlington he had seen 12 machines.”
Is this evidence of voter suppression or what?

| One key to the election theft of Ohio by GW Bush is voter suppression. This is what occurs when people are made to wait for extremely long times in poor conditions, or have polling places that are inaccessable to handicapped people, or various other means to limit the turn out. The most damning evidence of voter suppression in Ohio was the lack of voting machines provided in certain areas of the state. For the most part, these were urban areas with large numbers of democratic voters. This was the main reason for the long lines at the polls: not enough machines. Considering that the number of registered voters and the projected number of actual voters is easily figured for each area and the state as a whole, the only explanations for not providing this equipment is complete incompetence or planned voter suppression. This is criminal act in most states. Can anyone provide the law and its penalty for the state of Ohio? |

A Tribune analysis of voter records suggests that more than 5,000 dead people remained on the rolls on Election Day in New Mexico. The presidential election there was decided by 6,000 votes.
And New Mexico is not alone. The Tribune's review of voter data there and in five other key states--Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota--found widespread flaws in the integrity of voter rolls.
More than 181,000 dead people were listed on the rolls in the six swing states, despite efforts to clean up the country's voting system after the 2000 election.
Thousands more voters were registered to vote in two places, which could have allowed them to cast more than one ballot.
Further, more than 90,000 voters in Ohio cast ballots without a valid presidential choice. Either they decided not to choose a candidate, the machine failed to register their choice, or they mistakenly voted for more than one candidate.
And the FBI is investigating allegations that Republicans in Florida mounted a large-scale campaign to tamper with ballots.

to pay for a recount. A ruling by U.S. District Judge Edmund A. Sargus Jr.
on Friday, rejecting Delaware County's attempt to stop a recount, paved the
