Ohio Voting Rights Activists Call Electoral Fight The "Biggest Deal Since Selma"
  http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=04/12/23/1541230
  December 23rd, 2004
Ohio-based journalist Harvey Wasserman reviews the ongoing controversy surrounding the presidential vote in Ohio. Representative John Conyers - the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee - has called on The Associated Press and the five broadcast networks to turn over raw exit poll data collected on Election Day in order to investigate any discrepancies between the data and the certified election results. [includes rush transcrip
.......HARVEY WASSERMAN: Yes, but you still have the majority of votes being cast on electronic machines. The punch cards themselves are problematic, and in many cases, the punch cards are being counted on Diebold machines. We have had at least two instances of technicians going into polling places and fooling around with the machines, before they could be recounted. We had one instance in Greene County where ballots were left in an open building on a table with no guards. Our election monitors walked into the building on a Saturday. There was nobody there. The ballots were there. The recount had not been done. This is third world stuff. If we want to live in a democracy, we need to go to the Ukraine. It's not possible to do a legitimate recount in Ohio now. We're trying the best we can to see what we can find out, but the fact of the matter is we need a revote. Based on the exit polls, we have had statisticians look at the validity of the exit polls in Pennsylvania, Florida and Ohio. We have had one statistician tell us that the odds on the exit polls being wrong in the three states, which they were, -- either the exit polls are wrong or the ballot count was wrong the odds against it are 150 million to one. There's no way that George W. Bush won this election.

In 2004, New Mexico worst at counting votes
  http://www.knoxstudio.com/shns/story.cfm?pk=MISCOUNT-NM-12-22-04&cat=AN
By JAMES W. BROSNAN Scripps Howard News Service December 22, 2004
  - The state with the worst record for counting votes in 2004 also was the state President Bush won by the fewest ballots - New Mexico.
There were 18,997 ballots - 2.5 percent of all 615,074 votes cast - in New Mexico that indicated no choice for president or were not counted because the voter marked more than one choice, according to a Scripps Howard News Service study.
(Something very fishy in Denmark! er..New Mexico) |

Video Supporting Ohio Vote Fraud Claim Revealed
  http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/122404X.shtml
     By William Rivers Pitt t r u t h o u t | Report Thursday 23 December 2004
Truthout has come into possession of video from Hocking County, Ohio.
................................................................... The mounting evidence of election tampering by Triad representatives has motivated 2004 Presidential candidate John Kerry to join with Green Party and Libertarian Party representatives in their Ohio recount effort. John Kerry will file today, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, papers in support of the Green Party/Libertarian Party recount effort. Specifically, Kerry will be filing a request for expedited discovery regarding Triad Systems voting machines, as well as a motion for a preservation order to protect any and all discovery and preserve any evidence on this matter.

The Election Is Over: Get on with your lives
  http://www.theotherpaper.com/cover.html
  By Dan Williamson / Dec. 23, 2004
Karenmae Himmelberger seems like a pleasant, thoughtful and reasonable woman. Yet she chose to spend a recent Sunday afternoon braving harsh winds and frigid temperatures holding up a "REVOTE OHIO" sign in front of the Ohio Statehouse........ "I believe that if there hadn't been fraud and suppression that Kerry would have won the electoral votes of Ohio," Himmelberger said matter-of-factly.

Assassins of Democracy, Votergate 2004 Continues
  http://www.opednews.com/wade_122904_democracy_assassins.htm
By Anthony Wade December 28, 2004
Democracy has been under attack for four years now.....
The obvious reason for Blackwell wanting to avoid coming clean under oath is that if his office shorted minority districts while having higher machine to voter ratios in traditionally GOP districts, well, we have a word for that in America. That word is fraud. Under the National Voter Registration Act that would mean a trip to prison for five years instead of Congress, or the Governor's House, as it has been reported awaits Blackwell for his assassination duties.

 Ohio Recount Steeped in Fraud
  http://www.truthout.org/docs_05/010205I.shtml
  http://democracyweek.org/index.html
Democracy Week | Commentary Saturday 01 January 2005
There is something you can do.
The presidential vote recount in Ohio is over - or is it? The Green and Libertarian Party candidates who paid for the recount may have a claim of fraud against election officials and at least one voting machine company. If they can't get a new recount, they ought to at least get their money back..... Read it all!

 Re-Vote Ohio
  http://www.zmag.org/content/showarticle.cfm?SectionID=90&ItemID=6944 by Ted Glick January 01, 2005
(This article was put together with much assistance from colleagues who have been deeply involved in the Ohio recount.)
"Our next governor should enter office without any doubt about the legitimacy of his or her office. The people of Washington deserve to know that their governor was elected fair and square. Unfortunately, the events of the past few weeks now make it impossible for you or me to take office on January 12 without being shrouded in suspicion." ...... |

Did We Bounce An Election? (This is really good! Please read!)
  http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/2005/1063
  by Warren Stewart, votersunite.org January 1, 2005
I'll admit it; my checkbook is not very tidy. Like many people, I don't scrupulously reconcile my bank statements and I don't record every trip to the ATM or check card purchase the way my dad taught me. Usually everything works out fine but every once in a while I bounce a check and suffer the consequences of my sloppiness. It seems our public officials are being just as reckless with our votes. An examination of the New Mexico canvass report of the November 2 election suggests that the state might be running the risk of bouncing an election.

Ballot Scamming: Pollsters, Media Implicated In Vote Fraud
  http://www.americanfreepress.net/html/ballot_scamming.html
December 31, 2004 By Christopher Bollyn
While Congress has yet to decide if there will be a formal inquiry into the U.S. election of 2004, its preliminary investigation is exposing the most serious flaws in the system. But don't expect to hear about it in the mainstream media—it's part of the problem.

Ten preliminary reasons why the Bush vote does not compute, and why Congress must investigate rather than certify the Electoral College (Part One of Two)
  http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/2005/1065
by Bob Fitrakis, Steve Rosenfeld and Harvey Wasserman January 3, 2005
The presidential vote for George W. Bush does not compute.
By examining a very wide range of sworn testimonies from voters, polling officials and others close to the administration of the Nov. 2 election; by statistical analysis of the certified vote by mathematicians, election experts and independent research teams who have conducted detailed studies of the results in Ohio, New Mexico, Florida and elsewhere; from experts who studied the voting machines, tabulators and other electronic equipment on which a fair vote count has depended; and from a team of attorneys and others who have challenged the Ohio results; the freepress.org investigative team has compiled a portrait of an election whose true outcome must be investigated further by the Congress, the media and all Americans -- because it was almost certainly not an honest victory for George W. Bush.
Top ten reasons why the 2004 election should not be certified: Read this article!
