You're right, it might not be the truth. But Geller hasn't yet provided a solid demonstration of his mental skills, after how many decades? When someone consistently avoids proper testing, yet continues to make the same untested claim, what's more likely: fraud or genuine?

Let us not think of Occams Razor.
Why not? It is a powerful tool which shows us in which direction we, the general public, should move in the face of unsupported fantastic claims.

We must move beyond.
To where? Do you have a replacement methodology in mind? If so, please describe it. If not, why should we "move beyond" a tool that has served humankind very well towards some unknown quantity?

Plus this is not evidence. That it is most likely fraud. How scientific is that?
Very. Science doesn't deal in absolute proofs. Science doesn't tell us that the Sun will rise tomorrow, it tells us that based upon past experience, the Sun will most likely rise tomorrow.

(Oh, crap... I'm spewing E-Prime!)

Is is like sayinf it is most likely a ghost threw my slipper? What is the difference.
The difference, thanks to Occam's Razor, is that your ghost is an extra assumption for which we have no evidence, while hand-bent spoons are all over the planet. You're asking about the difference between opposing propositions. The differences are quite dramatic, in such a case.

As Dave tried to show you before, I will do so in less words:

Uri Geller bends spoons with hands.
Uri Geller provides no evidence that is mind is doing it
Uri Geller provides no evidence that his hands aren't doing it
The video of his preformance strongly suggests his hands are doing it
Thousands of others who claim to bend spoons do it with their hands.

Please, come to a logical conclusion, Storm.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Thanks a lot Kil. Now we'll get to hear Storm's theory of wet dreams being caused by the energy of a dead vampire psychic sasquatch from another dimension, or some such crap.

Nah. He'll talk about succubi and incubi as causing wet dreams.
