So we learn from today's USA Today that Bush wants to name Wolfowitz as head of the World Bank.

It's amazing-- as the story notes, "Wolfowitz was among the most forceful of those in the Bush administration in arguing that Iraq's Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, and he had predicted that Americans would be welcomed as liberators rather than occupiers once they toppled Saddam's government." Neither prediction could have been more wrong, and yet this guy is not only still in government, but he's being asked to head a major international organization! How can such utter stupidity be rewarded?!? Only in the Bush administration...

I was flabbergasted by that one. First off, why is the US in charge of the world bank? Was it just our turn to name a head? But Wolfowitz! That is disgusting.

According to the article, we are the defacto CEOs of the World Bank, and Europe runs the IMF...

Sadly, what cunieformist stated is true; you is, we are.
Massive objections are being offered up as we speak. New nominations are requested by both continents for each others leaders. I would like to offer mine:

Latinijral - IMF
Verlch - WB

Simply 'cause I can't say either name!!!!

(Any spelling mistakes in usernames (or elsewhere)...sorry, but it's 03:50 here and I aint checking.) ........ and 10 pints of Stella artois don't help.
