I first noticed this just now, when editing my last post under the Voyager 1 topic. I then did this test post just to make sure. First, I did:

When I clicked the edit button, it came up as:

And when I saved the changes, the blockquote, font, and hr tags all remained visible in the post.

It's a bug in the forum code compiler.

Edit: @tomic has been made aware of it before, but I don't know about the status of the bugfix. It can be rather tricky to find.
