Cool. You should put that in the "links" section, if you haven't already.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Don't worry about it, pleco. At least one other person didn't check, either. And besides, it's good to post reminders about things like Operation Clambake every once in a while.

More Sciencetology.

Some times we get a laugh out of these clowns, but they really are a vicious cult. Unfortunatly, they seem to be growing and they certainly never pass up a chance to evangelize.

I seem to recall that a couple of forgettable (which is why I can't remember their names) movie stars are either joining it or are already members, and are fixing to get married. A small part of the gene pool withers yet further.

John Travolta, Tom Cruise and Kirstie Alley are (or were) all Scientologists. John Travolta, of course, did the horrible Battlefield Earth, based upon another L. Ron Hubbard book.

It is unfortunate that Tom Cruise is in the War of the Worlds movie, which I am going to see...I just feel dirty paying to see him in a movie.

So, I take it that he wasn't the one who put it in?

I should remember the date the time before this that I looked at the links section, so I'd have known that it was up before he posted the thread.

Well, if you go look at the link, you'll see under it: "Posted: 03/24/2002," so no, pleco wasn't the one who provided it. Besides which, all submitted links go through a vetting process by us admins, so submitted links won't pop up on the list right away.

Since this thread is about Scientology:

Did anyone see the piece CNN did on Scientology since Tom Cruise's movie and soon-to-be marriage are news? I thought it quite friendly to the cult and it upset me.

They usually are very soft, ya know they want tom to come back for a follow up.
