Apparently someone can't take the heat.
It was apparently on the Daily Show as well. This has to do with the Plame leaking affair.

As I recall, Novak has a history with Rove. Rove got fired from Bush 41 for leaking to him.
I think that maybe some chickens are coming home to roost and he is getting a case of the tight spincters and cold sweats. We shall see.
Of course, the real question is; will Patrick Fitzgerald be allowed to finish his proscecution at the grand jury, and if so, will he call Novak back?
I wonder how many outright lies the flies on those walls have heard....

And, as far as CNN is concerned, he might as well have kept walking for a while.
The network has stood steadfastly by Novak through the controversy he sparked with a 2003 column that identified a CIA operative by name. The probe into the secret sources of that information led to the jailing of New York Times reporter Judith Miller for refusing to testify.
It's not known whether Novak has testified or refused because he won't say.
But Novak mouthed off Thursday and that apparently was too much for CNN, which has yanked him, at least for now, according to a network spokeswoman. Efforts to reach Novak were unsuccessful.
Small loss.

| So was it being a baby or a planned walkout to avoid impending Plame questions? I say it was planned. After all, Novak and Carville are used to Crossfire interactions so I can't see how that could have gotten under Novak's skin. I do think the media attacks on Novak's role in the Plame leak are getting to him though. |
