WACO, Texas (AP) -- A pastor performing a baptism was electrocuted inside his church Sunday morning when he adjusted a nearby microphone while standing in water, a church employee said.

The Rev. Kyle Lake, 33, was stepping into the baptistery as he reached out for the microphone, which produced an electric shock, said University Baptist Church community pastor Ben Dudley.

...

About 800 people attended the morning service, which was larger than normal because it was homecoming weekend at nearby Baylor University, Dudley said.

There! There, you see?! I've been telling y'all for years that God doesn't want to hear all that bullshit and the best thing you can do is avoid such barbaric pratices as baptism, ritual cannablism and turning his kid into an idol's image. Well now he's good and pissed, and finally had enough! I don't know what this guy did to get singled out for a sacred smack-down, but it must have been even more awfuller than a Fawell/Robertson fund grab drive; worser even than Benny Hinn lying to paraplegics.

So just you think about that the next time some jackleg pulpet leech wants to deep-dip one of your kids. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

Notice how God used science to do his bidding.

Maybe this could kickstart a new branch of christianity. We have snake-handlers - why not "microphone-handlers-while-standing-in-water". Only true believers survive.

Of course the Proselytizers will have to abstain from the practice.

Or, if he's just gotta electrocute someone, wassamatta a good old-fashioned lightning bolt? Zeus used to sling them around with gusto.

Having to rely on someone's complete ignorance of the most rudimentary elements of appliance safety is so infra dig by comparison.
