Yeah, Pat's at it again, mouthing gibberish about things he knows less than nothing of, but that he might be able to turn to his advantage.
quote:
Robertson claimed "evolutionists worship atheism," evolutionary theory a "cultish religion"
Summary: On CBN's The 700 Club, host Pat Robertson claimed that "the evolutionists worship atheism" and that because "evolution becomes their religion" it is "an establishment of religion contrary to the First Amendment." Robertson went on to suggest that evolution advocates were "fanatics," stating further, "it is a religion, it is a cult. It is cultish religion."

He really is the very worst of a truly sorry lot. And arguably the most avaricious. I think he figures that if he can actually make this benighted nonsense stick, he will gain donating members to his 700 scam. And if not, he still has something to fulminate about to the delight of existing members and his various peers in the whacko televangelist business.

If his mouth were any bigger, it could become a bat sanctuary.

Here's a picture of my puppy I got last Saturday.

He's 10 weeks old, a pointer-lab mix, and his name is Bailey.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

How is your puppy making that chair levitate? The visible chair leg is a good 2 inches off the ground. Is it possible that your puppy could win James Randy's million?

It is people like Pat Robertson that give the rest of the scumbags a bad name.

ST. LOUIS, Missouri (AP) -- A group founded by evangelist Pat Robertson is suing to stop Illinois from requiring pharmacies to fill prescriptions for emergency contraception, saying the rule violates a druggist's right to refuse on religious and moral grounds.

The Washington-based American Center for Law and Justice filed the lawsuit Monday in U.S. District Court in Springfield, Illinois.

The lawsuit, mirroring some claims in state lawsuits challenging the rule, names Gov. Rod Blagojevich and the heads of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and its Division of Professional Regulation as defendants.

Tina Fey on "SNL" had an awesome snap on Pat Robertson last week. Over a photo of the artifacts found in England, she said "Ancient tools found in Britain show that humans colonized Europe 200,000 years earlier than thought. Of course, this will be disputed by these ancient tools," and cut to a photo of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell.
