Another one that could just have easily been put in the Humor forum:

Neanderthals Explained

quote:
When God created the man Adam, he had a forehead just like you and I. That was the third day.

On the sixth day, God created mankind on the same day that he created the animals.

These people (mankind), I believe, had foreheads that sloped back just like the Neanderthal people whom we read about in the National Geographic. Their foreheads sloped back and they were made to look just a little bit different than Adam and Eve looked.

And there's a reason that God created another race of people after he created Adam, and on the same day that the Lord created Eve. The Lord knew that Adam and Eve would become one flesh and would have children the first of whom would be Cain and Abel.

And the Lord knew that Cain would kill his brother Abel.

The Lord knew that for the sake of promoting justice, he would have to banish Cain from his family for murdering his brother - and yet the Lord did not want to banish Cain to the point of making him alone for the rest of his life. So God created the Neanderthal people - a completely different race of people to whom the Lord could send Cain - so Cain could live with them and not be alone.

When the Lord banished Cain, Cain was afraid that the people in the land of Nod would kill him.

“Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him” (Genesis 4:15).

I believe, and the only thing that makes sense, is that the mark that God put on Cain was to slope his forehead back. That way Cain would not look different from the Neanderthal people, and they would accept him and he could live among them.

Cain, as well as his children would perish in the flood, when the Lord in Genesis 6:7 said, “I will wipe mankind whom I have created from the face of the earth: men and animals.” These are the men and animals who God created on the sixth day.

This is when God saved only Noah and his family who were descendants of the man Adam - the people who had foreheads like we have today. The people who had foreheads that sloped back all perished when God sent the flood.

So you see, the discovery of the Neanderthal people (mankind) only goes to prove that the story of creation in the Bible is true.

...

So, the next time the atheists (who don't believe the Bible is true and factual) try to throw the Neanderthal people in your face, and cry “evolution is true and the Bible isn't,” you can tell them that the Neanderthals, along with Cain lived in the land east of Eden: in the land of Nod and you can explain to them that they never intermarried. Tell them that the race of Adam was created on the third day and the Neanderthals, who God created on the sixth day, were wiped out; and only the race of Adam was saved from the flood which God sent.

Some more amazing mental gymnastics in the denial of reality. I have to admit though that this is one of the more entertaining pieces of lunacy I've seen lately.

The foundation of morality is to . . . give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibliities of knowledge.

So much for free will...

So the marking was a sloping forehead..even though the bible literally says a mark.

Oh well, interpret when necessary otherwise take the literal.

Walt Disney should of had their imagination!

Of course, the reply might be: "And your archological evidence for this is....?" At which point, you will be treated to misinteperation of Holy Land sites, yet more Bibical quotations, and indeed, outright fantasy.

Apologetics are pretty amazing whatever the topic -- as we all know, Neandertal was an ordinary, run-of-the-mill human with rickets, and so much for that!
