So as I've been neglecting some of my more mundane administrator chores, I was rather disheartened to find 60-someodd URLs had been submitted over the last few months for the SFN's Skeptic Links section. Most of the submissions were for online casinos or bed-and-breakfast directories ("why?" would be a thread to itself), and there were plenty for porn, and a handful which actually fit into the categories we've got set up already.

But one, the "Off The Grid Home Page," has me stymied:
The primary purpose of this off the grid web site is to prepare an individual for the possible scenario of a unified self that is able to interface with the collective consciousness of all life. In summary, this is the creation and evolution of a beacon of light for any individual open to living their life in an existence imbued with meaning and compassion rather than self-interest and fear.
In which section should that sort of thing go?

I was going to advise caution when picking it up -- it might bite -- but hey, he/she's got some neat stuff in there!

Bad Religion Evil, for example.

Stash it in the Neat & Wierd Stuff catagory.

Ok, is it my portuguese-speaking brain, or does that paragraph make no sense whatsoever?

No, you're fine. The sentance is a wax scupture of religious thought put together with a blowtorch.

It's like the math professor who confronted a huge blackboard filled with a an impressive-looking mathematical formula written by a student. After hours of work, the professor reduced the formula to its essentials, which was:

0 x 0 = 0

The language of choice has nothing to do with it; that paragraph is indeed nonsense, and would remain nonsense if translated to Swahili.

This kind of reminds me of a recent entry in James Randi's Miliion Dollar Challenge. The entire entry, proof and all, is the following diagram:

Biology is just physics that has begun to smell bad.” —HalfMooner

It's not your brain, Sib. That paragraph is a fine example of bafflegab.
