It is indeed - It makes fun of atheists and christians.

Is this video an example of what you do as an ordained atheist minister Marf?

See, but the truly hilarious part for me was the first part with the guy singing the atheist song with the kids because it looks like it could be a spoof on what some atheist groups are really like. When I was a counselor at Camp Quest we did sing freethought songs with kids, and at my Ohio's group's solstice banquet we had Dan Barker (who used to be a fundy and used to write Christian sing-a-longs) perform some of his songs such as "Nothing Fails Like Prayer". I wonder if the Mad TV people realized how close to the real deal they were with that first section.

No, but maybe I should? ;-)

That was funny. Thanks, Marf. I like that site. Seems like all the skits you hear about but missed are posted there.

Funny story. I knew one of my Christian friends was going to make me a Christmas song cd for Christmas. So I got "Beware of Dogma" by Dan Barker for her in turn. As luck would have it, I winded up with the cd, and it has some pretty good songs on it. I was rather impressed.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.
- Isaac Asimov

Ah, yes, embrace the cheesiness.

But Dan's a hoot in a live performance. Fun guy.

I dig that long-held note! So....inspirrational!

Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

Better check this one out, from the same site. It's the Terminator and Jesus. Hilarious, especially the last supper/Judas scene. I recalled seeing this a few years ago on Mad TV. Did a search on site and found it. Sweet Jesus!
