So when did the Masons stop requiring devotion to the creator? Its one of the cheif requirements last I checked.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini

Oh, that's what a "lot-lizard" is? I thought it was some kind very gregarious reptile. Figured he had a terrarium (or a lizard lot?) full of 'em. Now I'm shocked that Filthy knows about such critters.

I can't find where someone this side of the dividing line between sanity and the verlch state said that. What you are stating is what I think their rule still is. Sadly.

Hmph. I didn't know that someone had dedicated a page to quoting that glorified lot-lizard.

Thanks for the link, though. I'll skip Coulter's stuck-needle blather and check out the rest of the site. Looks pretty good.

Now, Filth. You've just insulted all the rentable female escorts for Truckers out there.

I was wondering who would pick up on that -- well done!

If you walk through any place where the 18 wheel drivers are resting, you will see many trucks with a decal in a lower corner of the windshield or the cab's vent windows stating: "NO LOT LIZARDS!" Mine looked a lot like this one:

A variety of them can be had at any truck stop, and I've no doubt they can be ordered on line.

Ought to send one to sweet Annie..... I'll bet she knows exactly what it is...

Well, with the introduction of Coulter, this thread's pretty well into the sewer. Something must be done, and with the assistance of the esteemed Rude Pundit, I'll be happy to do it.
quote:
There's so much that's fucked up about Ann Coulter and her latest "book" (if by "book," you mean, "Extended projectile vomiting retched out by a pencil-legged harridan scratching semi-words in her own puke") that it's hard to know where to start. There's the title of the "book," Godless, which quite intentionally must exist to make you think, as you walk into your local Barnes and Noble and glance over at the shrieking, howling display of volumes with Ann Coulter's picture on them, "Goddess." One might think no human being could be that needy, but, then again, Coulter's gotta compete with your Malkins and your Ingrahams and other conservative fuck dream demi-babes.

And the Rude Pundit's not gonna get into the whole "oh, Ann Coulter's wrong about this" argument, 'cause that would mean what she says merits any response other than: Are you really that fucking crazy? No, seriously, are you that...fucking...crazy? What else would you ask someone who writes, as Coulter does in the first chapter, freely available, regarding "fears" of water shortages: "Liberals are worried we're going to run out of something that literally falls from the sky. Here's an idea: Just wait. It will rain." Beyond the fact that most of Coulter's arguments seem to stem from understanding liberalism from 20 or 30 years ago, the sentence is breathtakingly, self-evidently stupid.

There. That ought'a put paid to it, once and for all! Put the cover back on the manhole, and let's go home.....

Bush annouces somehting special on 6/6/06..

Yikes...

What came first the chicken or the egg?

How do plants exist without bugs in the soil, and bugs in the soil without plants producing oxygen?

There are no atheists in foxholes

Underlying the evolutionary theory is not just the classic "stuff" of science — conclusions arrived at through prolonged observation and experimentation. Evolution is first an atheistic, materialistic world view. In other words, the primary reason for its acceptance has little to do with the evidence for or against it. Evolution is accepted because men are atheists by faith and thus interpret the evidence to cor-respond to their naturalistic philosophy.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. II Timothy 4:3,4

II Thess. 2:11 And for this cause God shall
send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

You can not see the 'wind', but you can see its effect!!!!

Evolution was caused by genetic mistakes at each stage?

Radical Evolution has 500 million years to find fossils of fictional drawings of (hard core)missing links, yet they find none.

We have not seen such moral darkness since the dark ages, coencides with
teaching evolution in schools. (Moral darkness)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, EPH 6:12.

"Thus, many scientists embracing naturalism find themselves in the seeming dilemma recently articulated by biochemist Franklin Harold: "We should reject, as a matter of principle, the substitution of intelligent design for the dialogue of chance and necessity [i.e., Darwinian evolution]; but we must concede that there are presently no detailed Darwinian accounts of the evolution of any biochemical system, only a variety of wishful speculations."

Good catch, V! I read about that of course, but never made the connection. Don't have the right perspective on it, I guess.

Interesting indeed, but I wonder if it will fly. Bush's credibility, what he had anyway, is on it's way south. Somewhat to my suprise, even the killing of al-Whatsisface (forgotten the spelling) has thus far done little to restore it and Congress isn't quite as ready to kiss his ass as they so-recently were.

Thanks.

Whoever wrote that bit up at "Opposing Digits" doesn't seem to understand the word "biometric." Not that Bush is sane or anything, he's just not calling for the "Mark of the Beast system."

I have seen, on the forearms of elderly Jews I've met, the closest thing to the "mark of the beast" that humanity has yet come up with: The numeric tattoos of concentration camp survivors. Let's keep whatever perspective we can. In my opinion, those tattooed numbers were a lot more "Biblical" (as in Old Testament-style genocide) and chilling, than the mere "tamper-proof" ID cards Bush is calling for. Implanted RFID chips in immigrants might also come close to being a bestial mark in this secular person's mind.

And it must be remembered: There. Is. No. Such. Thing. As. Tamper. Proof. Someone, somewhere will find a way to beat it.

The more rigorous the safeguards, the greater the sense of security they inspire, and the greater and conceivably more distasterous the aftermath when that security is foiled.
