As the drama continues to unfold...

Dear Linda Klepacki,

HPV doesn't know or care how it is transmitted. It is not the sort of thing that can know or care about these things. It is not the least bit interested in your petty little sensitivities or your politically motivated agenda for expressing them. It is a potentially lethal disease that attacks and will kill women if not dealt with. The vaccine (assuming it lives up to expectations) could virtually eradicate this problem. I, personally, have serious doubts about a "Parent" who would risk their daughters and other people's daughters' lives in a mindless attempt to polartize people around a non-issue. Is your goal to ensure that this disease remains virulent and widespread among our women. Is this your vision of morality?

Children receiving innoculations do not need to be told what they are all for. Why is this so difficult to understand?

I don't know, beskeptigal. It's a hard call.

On the face of it, taken from the angle of social interaction, maybe the Bonobos are a better breed than we are. Perhaps we would have less ridiculous attitudes about this kind of issue if we descended from the Bonobos. Or perhaps we would lack the aggressiveness and initiative to become the kind of efficacious critters we are - to become the masters of the world.

It is interesting to note that neither the Bonobos, nor any close relatives of the Bonobos are in our position at this time.
