Okay, then let's try rebuilding the QUOTE tags from other tags...

Normal text (1)
Normal blockquoted text (2)
Normal text (3)
Blockquoted text, size=1 (4)
Normal text (5)
Blockquoted, size=1 (6)
Double-blockquoted, only one size=1 tag (7)
Back to single-blockquoted, size=1 text (8)
Normal text (9)
Blockquoted, size=1 (10)
Double-blockquoted, double-size=1 (11)
Back to single-blockquote, single size=1 (12)
Back to normal text (13).

Another test:

Normal text (A)
Size=1 text (B)
Normal text (C)
One size=1 tag, two size=1 tags, back to one size=1 tag (D)
Normal text (E)

Identical on both Safari (which doesn't have the problem) and Camino...

What about the test in the post above that one? Is the text at (13) normal sized or not?

In the meantime, let me try to post something which breaks:

Normal text (A1)
quote:
Quoted text (B2)
Normal text (C3)
quote:
Quoted-once text (D4)
quote:
Quoted twice text (E5)
Back to one quote (F6)
Normal text (G7).

Text at 13 is normal sized.

In Camino, Normal (G7) in the above post is small... Not normal sized.

(13) is normal in that previous post, and your second text looks normal to me (Firefox 1.0.6), though it does have that problem at times.

Okay, so we've got the problem narrowed down to the QUOTE tags, and not a combination of BQ and SIZE, even though they boil down to roughly the same HTML code sent to the browsers. Interesting. I'll look into this more, soon. Thanks, folks.

H. mentioned that two refreshes brought incorrectly-sized text that he saw back to normal size. Anyone else try multiple refreshes?

I just tried about 10 refreshes and G7 was still in small text. Again, I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.4) Gecko/20060508 Firefox/1.5.0.4

Nope. G7 is still a runt with Firefox 1.5.0.4, OK on IE.

Damn, I haven't used IE to view SFN in ages, everything looks freaking huge.

Crud. I'll try something different tomorrow night.

Hey, can someone try this for me: go to my previous post with the (G7) line in it (not the latest one, the one before that), click the reply-to button, edit out the first QUOTE tag and the last /QUOTE tag, and then hit the "preview" button. Does the (G7) line look tiny in the preview window, too?
