If these good folks think that they are going to get even one, bent nickle out of Fred Phelps' happy, little thundermug-full of degenerates, they really have been out in the noon-day sun for too long. quote:

"If they do anything as foolish" as sending a bill, she said, "I'll laugh all the way to the trash can."
Me, I'd like to see her laugh all the way to Small Claims Court to explain why her 'church' is such a low-life deadbeat.
Any of you guys that are hip to the law: might Mundy Township have a decent case? Or was my first take on it correct?

They may not get any money, but perhaps future towns will not provide special police protection for these "people".... |

I just had an interesting thought....
Old Fred is getting along on his journey through madness, and I understand that his health isn't all that good. He might be about due to go tits-up 'most any day now. I wonder what his funeral will be like.....

| Whether the township is entitled to the money or not will depend on the nature of the (hopefully written) agreement they made with Phelps' brood. If they agreed to pay money for failing to show up, then they owe the money (and I don't think five grand will go to small claims court). |
