Biblical Archaeology!

Alot of work by dead men who wrote the bible, and hand copied it for centuries, which you all believe is a fraud? Both physically and spiritually? Go figure!

Secular Evolutionists have along way to go to even scratch the surface to the mechanics of their own theories. To go around trash talking others beleifs!!!!

At least when Christian Scientists dig in the dirt, we find evidence supporting our beliefs! When you dig, you find fully formed fossils, you look around you and see fully formed creatures, and then declare you know the mechanics of how life sprang into being, and perpetuates itself through pro creation!

The fact that a human grows in size 1500 million times from just conception to birth, doesn't amaze you? All of which is a miracle. From the ability to drink and sustain ourselves on the water on the earth, to our ability to breath the air, and sustain ourselves!!!!

Nothing short of a miracle!

What came first the chicken or the egg?

How do plants exist without bugs in the soil, and bugs in the soil without plants producing oxygen?

There are no atheists in foxholes

Underlying the evolutionary theory is not just the classic "stuff" of science — conclusions arrived at through prolonged observation and experimentation. Evolution is first an atheistic, materialistic world view. In other words, the primary reason for its acceptance has little to do with the evidence for or against it. Evolution is accepted because men are atheists by faith and thus interpret the evidence to cor-respond to their naturalistic philosophy.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. II Timothy 4:3,4

II Thess. 2:11 And for this cause God shall
send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

You can not see the 'wind', but you can see its effect!!!!

Evolution was caused by genetic mistakes at each stage?

Radical Evolution has 500 million years to find fossils of fictional drawings of (hard core)missing links, yet they find none.

We have not seen such moral darkness since the dark ages, coencides with
teaching evolution in schools. (Moral darkness)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, EPH 6:12.

"Thus, many scientists embracing naturalism find themselves in the seeming dilemma recently articulated by biochemist Franklin Harold: "We should reject, as a matter of principle, the substitution of intelligent design for the dialogue of chance and necessity [i.e., Darwinian evolution]; but we must concede that there are presently no detailed Darwinian accounts of the evolution of any biochemical system, only a variety of wishful speculations."

Professor of Near Eastern Archaeology, William G. Dever writes:

Until about a generation ago Biblical achaeologists spoke confidently about William Foxwell Albright's "archaeological revolution". It would assuredly enhance our understanding and appreciation of the Bible and its timeless message-which was thought to be absolutely essential to our cherished Western culture condition. The Bible and the "Christian West," as formerly conceived, are fighting for their lives. Not only has modern archaeology not helped to confirm the earlier tradition, it appears to some to be part of the process to undermine it. This is a not-so-well kept secret among professional archaeologists.
The failure of the "archaeological revolution" means tryng to occupy the beleagured middle ground, neither extreme skeptics or naive credulists. The clock cannot be turned back to the time when archaeology allegedly "proved the Bible." Archaeology as it is practiced today must be able to challenge, as well as confirm, the Bible stories. Some things described there really did happen, but others did not. The Biblical narratives about Abraham, Moses, Joshua and Solomon probably reflect some historical memories of people and places, but the "larger than life" portraits of the Bible are unrealistic and contradicted by the archaeological evidence. Some of Israel's ancestors probably did come out of Egyptian slavery, but there was no military conquest of Canaan, and many, if not most, of the Israelites throughout the Monarchy were polytheists. Monotheism may have been an ideal of Bible writers. Archaeology cannot not decide what the supposed events described in the Bible mean. That decision is left up to each individual. Archaeology cannot decide this question; it can only sharpen our focus.[4](Dever, 2006)

creationism and creation science
Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution. Theodosius Dobzhansky (1973)

We do not know how the Creator created, what processes He used, for He used processes which are not now operating anywhere in the natural universe. This is why we refer to creation as special creation. We cannot discover by scientific investigations anything about the creative processes used by the Creator. Duane Gish, Evolution? The Fossils Say No!

...the evolution of the cosmos is more than just "compatible" with theism. Faith in a God of self-giving love...anticipates an evolving universe.* John F. Haught

Creationism is a religious metaphysical theory which claims that a supernatural being created the universe. Creation Science is a pseudoscientific theory which claims that (a) the stories in Genesis are accurate accounts of the origin of the universe and life on Earth, and (b) Genesis is incompatible with the Big Bang theory and the theory of evolution. “Creation Science” is an oxymoron since science is concerned only with naturalistic explanations of empirical phenomena and does not concern itself with supernatural explanations of metaphysical phenomena.

Creationism is not necessarily connected to any particular religion. Millions of Christians and non-Christians believe there is a Creator of the universe and that scientific theories such as the theory of evolution do not conflict with belief in a Creator. However, those Christians calling themselves ‘creation scientists' have co-opted the term ‘creationism', making it difficult to refer to creationism without being understood as referring to Scientific Creationism. Thus, it is commonly assumed that creationists are Christians who believe that the account of the creation of the universe as presented in Genesis is literally true in its basic claims about Adam and Eve, the six days of creation, making day and night on the first day even though He didn't make the sun and moon until the fourth day, making whales and other animals that live in the water or have feathers and fly on the fifth day, and making cattle and things that creep on the earth on the sixth day, etc.

Verlch! I'm glad they let you out of the padded room for awhile-- it's been too long.

In any case, as 'Mooner already noted, the archaeology of Israel does little to prove that there really is a supernatural deity called Yahweh. To be sure, much of the arachaeological evidence recovered is in accords with what we're told in the Bible. But that's hardly surprising-- no one doubts that there was an actual geo-political entity called Israel (or Judah for that matter).

Thus, you're left where you started. Archaeology doesn't provide concrete proof of Yahweh, and indeed it provides compelling evidences that not everything recorded in the Bible actually happened-- be they world-wide floods (supported by no evidence (and not actually possible, as shown by modern science), or Joshua's invasion of Canaan. The list goes on...

Anybody can come in and write what they want, probably a secular humanist as are the ones here!!!

It depends on who is interpreting the data, a woman archaeologist back in the 30's went and dated the city of Jericho to 100 years before Israel was known to be there. Peer "Pilkenton Men" soon jumped on the bandwagon stating her findings as fact. When another man confirmed she was wrong and dated the city perfectly with the time it was there!

Only a skeptic would try and find error without actually having been there to witness said events!

A few typos in that quote aswell!@!!

What would one expect, Naturalistic self god scientists are the ones making the rules about how to set their rules and question the methods of those opposed to their "so called" concrete beleifs.

When Naturalistic men get together to talk about evolution, the other guy is dismissed, discredited, even questioning his title! For a good chuckle at the moment!

So far we are both in the dark, us because we havn't been able to call the heavenly phone number, and you, because you cannot observe the methods, mechanics or functions of you're theories! Not a one of the vast millions of transitional species are observed, the ones you pick are already said type of animal. I know, I know, transitional fossils all happened too rapidly to be seen or observed living, so we could study them!!!!

One thing us God believes have on our side, is infinite complexity. I'm not talking about the human body, I'm talking about a simple cell.
