Why both? Preview does everything spell check does, except highlight incorrect words. Why not make "Preview" do everything that spell check does, and get rid of spell check all together?

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

I think spell check could stay, however its database is in dire need of revision. It's way too small, and doesn't even have days of the week.

In the beginning of my time here at SFN I used it, but when I found a free spell checker, IEspell I switched to it. It comes with a nice Word™-like GUI and a custom dictionary (on you HDD) for expanding your word list.

I'm not sure if you misunderstood what I said or only just said enough so that it looks like you did.

I'm not saying get rid of spell check, contrary to my last sentence in the opening post. What I meant was to get rid of the link to spell check and make preview preform a spell check.

But that will get a lot of words marked as misspelled, even though they aren't, becaue the incomplete dictionary in the spell-checker.

For those that are interested, I use SpellBound, which is for FireFox and other Mozilla Based browsers. It's been pretty good for me.
