YO: Out for a Sunday afternoon walk (The weather in NorCal is magnificient now, BTW), I was listening to Laura Flander's Radio Nation on Air America Radio.

Laura was talking about the unsurprising and predictably-timed death sentence put on Saddam's neck today. I haven't seen it on the web site, but Ms. Flanders indicates that the famous Rummy-Saddam handshake we've all seen is online there---that's at

www.radionation.org

Saddam received his sentence today for committing atrocities in 1982.
The handshake video was shot in January of 1983. Rummy had been sent over to finalize a weapons deal with Saddam under orders from the Reagan-Bush Administration. I'm wondering if, when Rummy is thrown out after the upcoming elections or resigns, he'll be charged
with some kind of aiding and abetting the further atrocities of Saddam in Iraq?

I suggest that none of us hold our breath till that happens.

YO!

You thinking what I'm thinking, OY?

In 2009, we can send Rummy to Baghdad once again, this time to be tried by whoever is running that place by then. Ought to be much swifter justice (even if maybe not as justice-y) than what he's realistically likely to get here.
