WASHINGTON (AP)-- A spokeschimp for the Genus Pan Anti-Defamation League says the use of the likenesses of Chimpanzees in political humor must end. The GPADL is threatening to sue the Democratic National Committee, as well as "various bigoted freelance bloggers and cartoonists."
Bobo O'Bananas, outraged.
"We decry this comparison of apes to the President," shrieked Bobo O'Bananas, publicist for GPADL, at a Monday press conference held at the Washington Zoo. "This is not funny! These depictions of Chimpanzee-Americans, without permission, alongside images of President George W. Bush, constitute egregious defamation of our entire genus."
"Just look at this creature," O'Bananas said, holding up a series of recent photos of the President. "Observe the cruel, soulless, close-set eyes, the brainless grin, the smug, bestial sneer! Would you like to be compared to him? I think not! Ooooo! Ooo-oo-oo!"
The press conference ended as Mr. O'Bananas chewed up the photos, began screaming and capering about, and then began to lob feces at reporters. There was no question-and-answer period.

"TAX AND SPEND" IS GOOD! (TAX: Wealthy corporations who won't go poor even after taxes. SPEND: On public works programs, education, the environment, improvements.) |
