No. If there is a problem with a web site, it ain't your problem. If it's problem with your spelling, then it's your problem.

Like I said, they're really strange in Boulder. They're also trying to outlaw furniture on your porch. Yes, these people are really close to being Nazis...

Okaaay, I can sort of see the smoking nazis. Like their type on any subject, they know what's best for all of us and will pass laws to force us to see things their way. But porch furniture? Why do they think it's called porch furniture? To put in the attic? What's the point? Lisa

Well, those pesky college students will put the old couch on the porch so they can sit outside cause they can't afford real porch furniture. And upon occassion those couches have wound up being used to start fires, but then so have the corner trash cans up there.
Boulder has a lot more restrictive laws than the rest of the state. They really are trying to pass more restrictive laws, but they are being fought by a few individuals.

Sounds like rich people trying to 'beautify' Boulder, blekh.
We have those types around here too. Certain subdivisons and roads in KC you couldn't drive around in pick up trucks on. I wonder since SUVs became status symbols if that is still the case. I doubt it :P
Fortunately I live kinda out in the country in a little subdivison that has very few Nazis like that... Keep your yard resonably clean, and your house painted and lawn cut, and have everything looking relatively nice and they could care less what you do... (there are laws to keep your lawn cut, but you REALLY have to let it go for them to complain, i mean four or five feet, lol)

Not sure...but a lot of the old hippies that haven't made it out of the 60s yet.

My neighbor has mowed my lawn a couple time, since my mower needs a bit of work...or I borrow his mower. I like my neighbors too...they have time for yard work (most are retired). They understand that working and going to school take a lot of my time, so they don't complain.

Has anyone ever told these folks there's a word for that? It's called "arson". Boulder doesn't need new laws, it needs to enforce the ones it already has. Unless, arson is legal in Boulder (which I doubt). What's next? (Another heavy sarcasm alert) I hit a tree in my yard while backing out of my driveway (I've done this), so let's ban all trees in yards!!! Yes, that's the ticket!! Oh, I could so get on a soapbox here. Lisa

Hoagland's at it again... ::sigh:;

Somebody explain to me why this guy gets on my nerves so badly? It's obvious he's full of crap and I should just blow it off, but when I read his crap I actually get very angry, lol.
I started a new topic under "pseduscience" but I guess it belonged under Astronomy/UFOlogy...

Lisa, their reasoning, this prevents arson during riots. Um, maybe they should prevent the riots first.

Um, same reason Pat Robertson gets on my nerves. He's got a small peice of brain left and tries making himself bigger than he is.

That's the problem with having too many damn laws, NONE of them get enforced. Someone told me its the law in CA that you have to pick up the phone under so many rings at a workplace... WTF? lol Why? They'll just put you on hold quicker :) And how the hell do you enforce something like that? I don't get it.

But do you watch 700 club? I just don't have the willpower to keep away from Hoagland's web page to see what stupid thing he's up too. Morbid curiosity I suppose. Anyway, remember when Pat ran for President? I would SERIOUSLY contemplate emigrating to Canada...

I, myself, have watched that show probably all of one time. And that was way back when it was on in the morning on either the Fox affliate we have or the (now) WB affliate. I just considered it another news show and, at the time, I hated news shows. I thought they were too boring. Hey, I was a kid.

I'd compare it to a combo of watching paint dry and going past a car wreck on the highway.

Post it anywhere you like, and bitch loudly. Suppose some kid is given a project on Mars at school. He fires up his computer, decides instead of playing Quake, he'll check out a search engine. He types in "Mars", and this jerk's site comes up. Hey, it looks cool, must be on the money! I read through this latest, and it makes less sense than usual, which is saying alot. He's grasping at straws. The more information we receive about Mars, the less credible his claims. If he can't come up with something to keep the devoted followers buying those videos, he'll have to find another way to make money. I doubt NASA will hire him. Maybe FOX network however.... Lisa

I've heard that in the grand scheme of things, network executives are only one rung above lawyers.

Aren't they interchangeable? I wanted to start a whole new topic called "What in the heck is up with TLC and DISC channels?" I was out of the country for 11 years, and kept hearing about these two channels. I was excited, ooohh some real science on TV! What do I get? Ghosts. UFOs. Spoon-benders. There is some good stuff on both channels, but with their titles, why should I have to take the time to shake the gold from the dross? Has it always been that way? Lisa
