All I can say is: WTF?

Would gays themselves be covered under the way they've worded their little notice, would they?

This is so strange on so many levels. How would one be able to tell an "ex-gay" to be able to discriminate against in the first place?

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Can't all the gays/ex-gays just get along? I mean you got the ex-gays who are persecuted by the current gays and then you have the current gays who are persecuted for being gay by the closet Republican gays and then you have the Republican closet gays being persecuted by the openly gay democrats for persecuting the current gays all while they are closet gays themselves. (Breath) And then you have the openly gay democrats who are persecuted by the closet Republican ex-gays... Sheeese. Where does it end?

Well... If ex-gay are being discriminated against; of course they need to be protected. Obviously.
That being said... I wonder exactly who might be discriminating specifically against ex-gays according to the original article, they consider themselves being victims mostly of current gays; I guess that would be the term.

One of their biggest complain is that the law will protect from discrimination based on sexual orientation and, being not gay but ex-gay, they think that they are not cover.
Well, a)Being ex-gay makes you heterosexual and as such part of the majority and pretty much protected already. b) the law mention orientation, orientation includes heterosexual orientation just as much as homosexual one...

Seems like a weird and politically motivated ploy...

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
Carl Sagan - 1996

I can tell you when it will end, Bill. It will end when everybody ceases to concern themselves with other people's consentual love lives -- in short, stop being perverted shitheads.

Are you refering to the gays or ex-gays here?

What's the difference? I really don't know nor care, as it doesn't concern me nor mine, and shouldn't concern you. If homosexuality is really a choice, and I very much doubt that, they are doing as they please within the law and harming no one other than the phoney sensibilities of those such as Fred Phelps & Donald Wildemon, and that Perkins clown, et al. Those ones, y'know, that are trapped in their closets, never to know the pleasure of their inclinations. Screw 'em. Let them sleep in the sterile beds that they made and would make for others, both gay and straight, and society can move on without them.

Perhaps they are positioning to defend religiously-sanctified "ex-gays" from being outed as actually being plain old continuing gays?

You mean "ex-male" or "ex-lesbian"?

Why NOT?

There is a subtle joke in here that I doubt that even hard-core logicians will find amusing.
