Is this who I think it is? I can't see two people taking that username. He seems to go for conspiracy theories like our Verlch did.
He's zany enough to get posted on FSTDT.

Wow... I am amazed at the virulent hatred and complete paranoia of some of these crazies toward 'feminists'. It reminds me of 'Bob' that was referred a few weeks ago on these fora.
In both; you can feel such a boiling disgust toward women... That's some serious mommy issues these men have. |

You ain't seen nothin' yet! What a pity you weren't here when V was in residence. He was absolutly unique. He had the remarkable ability to get these fora stark, raving mad and keep them that way for extended periods. And all without getting banned!
Indeed, some (many? all?) of us here liked verlch and would happily welcome him back. Never a dull moment with V on board.

Yeah. Many of his threads (and he hasn't been around in probably two years or more) introduced that theme. I spent a few minutes going through archives posts but couldn't find the thread where he really laid it all out about women and how bad the feminist movement was.

The Freudster of course would have suggested "latent homosexuality." (That's the kind you couldn't get busted for even in the bad old days.) But perhaps our V-man is suffering from some serious and unresolved vagina-envy. Whatever. But I'll bet there are some women out there who hate HIM at least as much as he hates all women. And I'll further bet that their hate is more rational than his own.

There is a certain value to that sort of thing, though. One hell of a lot of information was produced for all to take advantage of, including our lurking population.
A Rimmer-class smeghead V might be, but he is a fun smeghead and one that sent us scurrying for reference thereby enhancing our own less-than-complete knowledge. It's one of the reasons that I oppose banning except for serious disruptions such as spammers and threats, and incoherent evangelism (the coherent kind is ok but they takes their chances just like everyone else). Why, even savaging sock puppets can be informative as well as entertainng.

Yeah, I miss Verlch too. I would also miss Bill Scott if he disappears from SFN. The thing is with those guys is while their arguments are out there, they never broke the rules or challenged administrative authority, which can only lead to trouble. I think of members we have punted and have accused us of throwing anyone off the forum that we don't agree with.
Also, even though it bugged filthy at the time, Verlch inspired me to write a song about creationists in general. Verlch's Song. The song could just as well apply to Bill Scott or any other creationist for that matter. But hey...Verlch was handy, and he took the jab with grace...
As an old song writer, and after having not written a song for so long, it was a fun exercise, regardless of the result.
Verlch, where are you?
