A look at the future. Say it ain't so!!!

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

I think Marcianne Walsh nail it.

Damn him! I always thought he was shifty...

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

LOL!

I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

You are free to believe what you want to believe and I am free to ridicule you for it.

Well, what can I say?

It'll be a Tuesday. I won't be in bed all day, that's for sure.

If nothing else, there will be Spore to play, and I can't do that from bed.

I just sent the video to a coworker of mine who said - seriously - that he's going to vote write-in for his own mother.

No offense, but you've got to talk to your friend; joke votes are not a good thing in this election! Just look at who's running here. Even on this forum alone, much less scienceblogs and the various media outlets show that your country can not afford McCain/Palin to be put in charge.

Even if Obama is only "so-so" as a president, the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. We can see that the religious right is going all out to vote for Palin/McCain, just look at the sites like Rapture Ready or Prophecy Fellowship Forums.

Every vote counts here. Tell him that he's got to vote for Obama. Even if he doesn't like him.

Sorry if I'm butting in, but I'm kind of worried here. Obama has a good chance to win, but I don't believe in taking chances; not when the stakes are this high.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.
