He quotes a post of mine, only guess what part he leaves out?

Yep, he leaves out the bolded part. To top it off, he's put the misquoted part of what I said in his "funny quotes" off to the side.

Oh, Creationist tunnel vision and dishonesty is an affliction that can seldom be over come. I'd not go on record, but I'm beginning to think that it's genetic. Or perhaps acquired like syphilis from other Creationists. You are doing exactly right in that you are letting this Dan fellow dig his own hole. He won't even notice when he falls into it, but you'll get a good laugh, and that's what it's all about. Laugh long, loud & publicly, and maybe others will join in.

One thing I noticed is that creationists just do not have the ability to understand (due to a lack of scientific literacy; interest and persistance; and pure lack of neurons) many of the arguments exposed to them.
As such, they do not realize that they are quote mining or how quote mining is an insulting violation of the other guys' speech.
For example, a couple of weeks ago, an astrophysicist acquaintances of mine was talking about the LHC ('it should be OK; of course, it is possible that we don't know what we are doing').
Of ocurse, the creationist immediately got an hard-on and used it first thing when they started disagreeing. After all, astrophysicist themselves admit they don't know what they are talking about so, obviously, creationists are right... |

My last post on his blog. Why do I say last? He's threatened to "rebuke" me because I had posted "blasphemous articles" when I linked to some of ERV's posts about junkDNA.
I wound up tearing into him in my last reply. Naturally, I've saved the HTML for that page just so's it doesn't get lost.

So, yeah, numerous function have been discovered for genes that once belonged to the junk DNA family. Big woop (as far as ID is concerned, it means that junk DNA do not represent 97% of our genome, just more than 80%).
And, among those, a good portion have had its origin also identified... as being junk. Endogenous retrovirus; transposons and such... |
