| Well, I believe that nowadays, most of native Americans are of mixed descent... so... Yeah, I didn't have a point, actually. |

Somewhat related to the above, I was reading the other day about "White Eskimos," who were reported by explorer M. Vilhjalmar Stefansson, and were supposedly light-haired and gray-or-blue-eyed Inuits found in northern Canada, descended from Vikings.
As the article above shows, DNA comparisons show the Inuits concerned show no relationship to modern Icelanders. (In fact, a note asserts none of these Inuits are actually blond and blue-eyed.)

It seems that he was found guilty of sexual battery, and he's failed to comply with the sex-offender registry rules in Florida. Twice. He's currently incarcerated.
Perhaps "Most Wanted" is a bit over-the-top, but the whole county has less than a quarter-million residents, near 20% of them are college students, and presumably half of those would be young women. Perhaps someone panicked.
I can't find out anything else on this. Just a lot of people pointing and laughing at the "Most Wanted" thing. It even made Leno. |
