According to CNN, Jóhanna Sigurđardóttir, Iceland's Minister of Social Affairs and Social Security, has the inside track to become the world's first openly gay -- and Iceland's second female -- Head of State.
Jóhanna SigurđardóttirMs. Sigurđardóttir would fill the position of outgoing PM Geir Haarde, who has announced his resignation amidst the fall of his government in the wake of the collapse of all the island nation's major banks due to the sub-prime crisis and world recession.
