'Tis the 14th day of the 3rd month of the Gregorian Calendar, and time to glory in the Celebration of the Taming of the Circle!

Let's see if any churchy shindig can best that!

Edited to add link. It is, after all, Pi Day and we might's well go for the whole hawg!

Heretic! The Bible clearly demonstrates that Pi = 3 (1 Kings 7:23). I celebrated at the beginning of the month.

Yes, and I'll probably go to Hell for mentioning it, but a diameter of 1 equals a circumference of 3.14 (out to a trillion more decimals and counting).

Celebrating at the beginning of the month is ok as long as you don't have much of a diameter to start with. If you do have a large diameter, however, you might not be able to get your britches over your circumference due to the ever-expanding, lost decimals.

Some of my favorite identities involving pi:

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Are the pie square or are it round? If the pie are square, it are not pie; it are cornbread.
