This video at Urban Prankster show how crowd reaction clearly shows the speed-of-sound propagation of Garth Brooks' voice to the huge crowd at the inauguration. Really cool! This video could be used in high school science classes.

Cool effect, none the less.

Wonder if effects of swilling beer would 'slow down' the speed of sound.

With a big enough crowd, you could film the speed of light effect too.
